Proverbs 27:17

Iron sharpens iron and one man sharpens another. One reason many of our relationships feel shallow is because we avoid friction. We’d rather keep things light, safe, and agreeable than risk tension. But this proverb reminds us that sharpening requires contact, and contact brings friction.
